Welcome to INCEMIC 2012

The Society of EMC Engineers (India), popularly known as SEMCE(I), established in Bangalore in 1987, is celebrating its eventful 25 years of professional services in the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility in the year 2012. This silver jubilee is a celebrative milestone in the journey of our vision and is a time for us to look back and thank every person who has contributed to the growth of our society. It is of great pleasure to announce that the 12th edition of our prime biennial event, the International Conference on Electromagnetic Interference & Compatibility (INCEMIC) falls in the silver jubilee year. INCEMIC 2012 will be held from 4-7 December 2012 in Bangalore, India

The conference will cover the entire scope of electromagnetic compatibility. Prospective authors are invited to submit original papers on their latest research results. The Conference will provide a forum for academic, researchers, practitioners and policy makers to participate and discuss the latest research findings in the areas of Electromagnetic Interference & Compatibility.

The objective of the conference is to provide high quality research and professional interactions for the advancement of EMI-EMC. Papers with new research results are encouraged for submission. Special symposium and workshop would be conducted with experts in the respective fields providing an overview as well as in-depth description of the cutting-edge research technologies. The  Pre-conference Workshop covers areas of specific interest. Within the framework of an educational scientific program, topics are organised to focus on areas of interest for the EMI-EMC community.

In addition to invited and solicited presentations from leading researchers from academia and research laboratories, the conference technical program is also focused on the industrial research in the areas of EMI-EMC, Ultra Wideband, High Power Electromagnetics, EM Radiation Hazards & Signal Integrity.

INCEMIC 2012 includes a technical and commercial exhibit area with booths representing major industries in the EMI-EMC arena.

Exhibition

A technical exhibition is being organised during the conference. The exhibition of EMI/EMC/RF-Microwave Components, EMI/EMC Test Instrumentation and facilities and analytical electromagnetic tools for EMC design will be one of the major event of INCEMIC 2012. Exhibitors are welcome to participate wholeheartedly in this event. For details on space for exhibition and also for advertisement in Souvenir, please contact the Exhibition Chair by email.

Souvenir

A souvenir containing program schedule, invited articles, abstracts, advertisements, etc. will be published. This will serve as an excellent medium for advertising various products as core competency among high professionals who are key decision makers. This souvenir is meant for free distribution among all participants and invitees.

Keynote Address: 6 Dec 2012

"Latest Research Frontier and New Trends on EM Compatibility" by Francesca Maradei, Immediate Past President of IEEE EMC Society, University of Rome, "La Sapienza".

Francesca Maradei was awarded a Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1992 from Sapienza University of Rome, a Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies (DEA) in Electrical Engineering from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble, France, in 1993, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, in 1997. Ms Maradei is currently an Associate Professor at Sapienza University.  Ms. Maradei joined the Department of Electrical Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome in 1996 where, before recently becoming a full Professor, she served as an Associate Professor until late 2010. She is author of more than 100 papers in the field of numerical techniques and their application to EMC problems (shielding, transmission line analysis, electrostatic discharge, electric fast transient, printed circuit boards, and power distribution networks).  Ms. Maradei is the immediate past president of the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Society for 2010-11. She has been serving in the Board of Directors of IEEE EMC Society since 2005. She served as Chapter Coordinator of the IEEE EMCS Society in 2005-2009, and as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on EMC from 1999 to 2000.   She serves as reviewer of technical papers for the IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, on Industry Applications, on Microwave Theory and Techniques, and on Magnetics.  She was awarded the 2003 James Melcher Prize Paper Award by the Electrostatic Committee of the IEEE Industry Applications Society; the Oral Presentation Best Paper Award at the International Symposium EMC’94 ROMA, and the Poster Presentation Best Paper Award at the International Symposium EMC EUROPE 2000.
